BEEF DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION

Coming up soon . . . beef dinner and silent auction, Sun. Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.  Tickets $10 per adult; $ 5 for children.  Take out at 5:30 p.m. is available.  Tickets are available through the church office (905 857-0433) and we expect to sell out quickly!

 

WELCOME, GUESTS & NEWCOMERS

We welcome you to our services. All are welcome at the Table of our Lord. If you are not baptised, please consider coming forward for a blessing at Communion time. Our custom at Christ Church is to remain in the circle around the table until all have received Communion or a blessing. Everyone is invited to come down to the parish hall after the 10 a.m. service to share in refreshments and engage in sparkling conversation.



ALLERGY ALERT

Because of concern for parishioners with asthma and allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products when attending church functions. Due to food allergy concerns, we are asked to label food that we bring to church, especially if it contains nuts or seafood.



PASTOR’S COFFEE HOUR & BIBLE STUDY

Everyone is welcome to attend the Pastor’s Coffee Hour each Wednesday at 9:30 to 10:45am for Bible sudy. We read and discuss the Bible passages for the coming Sunday. Get a coffee from the office and join the Rev. Riscylla in the Board room for about an hour of study, chat, laughter and reflection.



WALKING GROUP

The church walking group meets at the church at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays to walk and talk before the 10 a.m. service. Everyone is welcome.



CHURCH BOOK CLUB

The Book Club Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month and begin at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the book club. Please contact Sue Koschmider 905.857.4289 or the church office for more information.

  • September 11th - "The Land of Painted Caves" by Jean Auel

    If for any reason we are unable to obtain one of the books listed above, our back-up choice is "Tenderness of Wolves" by Stef Penney.



    CHURCH SCHOOL NEWS

    All children ages 3 and up are welcome to attend Church School.

    We depend on volunteers to teach Church School, and appreciate your offers of help.
    Leave a message for Heather & Monty Munich, out Church School organizers in the Church Office, or speak with the priest or secretary by calling the Office (tel # 905-857-0433) for information about Church School, and upcoming Intergenerational Services and Events.



    LET’S BLANKET CANADA

    . . . knitting/crocheting project to produce squares to make afghans for those in need of a warm covering. Patterns in the office. If you’d like to see a finished afghan, we have one in the office.



    TEDDIES FOR TOTS IN NEED

    Patterns for teddies and a sample teddy are available in the office. All who knit or crochet are invited to take part in this ongoing project. A sample teddy may be seen in the office.



    SUPPORT FOR FOSTER CHILDREN AND OPHANAGE IN HAITI

    Our monthly contribution to our foster child and to Noah’s Ark Orphanage in Haiti is $66 ($396 for 6 months). Thanks to all who support our foster children. You may donate on the offering plate or in the little box just outside the church office.



    CALEDON SENIOR CENTRE

    . . . .welcomes new members (all seniors 55+). Become a member for $15 per year and take part in the many activities offered at the Centre, located at Rotary Place, 7 Rotarian Way, behind the Wellness Centre.
